The Author of new Star Trek/Christian Theology Book Beams in for a Chat

Kevin C. Neece is a talented speaker and author.  Kevin’s latest book is The Gospel According to Star Trek: The Original Crew.  If that sounds like it might be the beginning of a series, congratulations, move to the front of your Starfleet Academy class!  This is only the beginning of Kevin’s journeys, as he seeks out strange new worlds. Four more books are on the way, so this is a great chance to get in on the ground floor of something great.

The thoroughly non-prostelatizing The Gospel According to Star Trek: The Original Crew chronicles Kevin’s own reconciliations with popular culture and his Christian faith, the real story behind what Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry believed, as well as plenty of worm holes and rabbit trails of the 23rd century variety!

In this discussion, Kevin talks with ZekeFilm Co-founder Jim Tudor about Spock, Data, the new series, Star Trek: Discovery, as well as some broader topics including VidAngel, “The Culture Wars”, and (ahem) community through cinema (and TV).

“The reasons Christians are losing or are losing The Culture War are 1.) We think it’s a war, and 2.) We fight the wrong battles.  We come at culture like a confrontation rather than a conversation.”  – Kevin C. Neece, on ZekeTalk

Whether you’re a fan of Star Trek or not, this promises to be a fun and thought provoking conversation!
